Weddings and babies

I remember back in 2006 greeting all our guests at our wedding reception. We were so happy to have all our friends join us for our celebration.

Camping Season, here we come!

Spring is here! I know, it’s hard to believe spring is here with all the crazy weather most of Canada has been getting recently. But regardless, families have been busy visiting, Federal and Provincial Campground reservations website to book that perfect campsite.

Camping is one the most affordable families vacations out there, and what better way to be to close with family and nature! Last summer, the girls at One Tiny Suitcase Winnipeg learned many people travel to other provinces to camp with loved ones. Who knew?!

How to keep little hands busy on the plane!

Feeling anxious about taking your very active toddler on an airplane? Here are some inexpensive and simple items to pack in your carry on to keep those little hands busy (and passengers sitting near you happy too!)

-Crayons & colouring book – what kid doesn’t love to colour?

-Stickers and paper to stick stickers on

-Individually gift wrap trinkets/toys from the dollar store – kids love opening presents and this has always been a huge hit with my son!

-Pom Pom game – get some pom poms and an empty margarine container, cut a hole in the top, and let the stuffing game begin!

-Fruit Loops necklace – get some fruit loops and string, and your toddler will have fun making this necklace and eating it too!

One Posh Stroller!

I love when Strollers get the ’5 Star’ treatment! Maclaren has always been known as a high end stroller built with quality materials but now it is also ultra fashionable too.

BMW and Maclaren teamed up to create a stroller to match your luxury SUV. All the features that Maclaren is known for plus the addition of several BMW logos.

Not sure I’d pay more for a stroller to go with my SUV but you have to admit it looks pretty chic for a stroller!

Another damaged stroller

Over the holiday season we had yet another call from a frantic mom who landed at the airport only to find that the airline had damaged her stroller.

Most of us moms treat our strollers like we do our vehicles. We spend a lot of time researching, test driving and selecting.

This mom chose the Baby Jogger City Elite a stroller that retails for around $500.

When she stepped off her flight to retrieve her stroller (that had been gate checked) she found it had been broken during transit. She called us to rent our Peg Perego Skate stroller until she could get hers repaired.

In the end the airline took responsibility for the damage but with a $200 cap on stroller repairs and all the time and trouble…this customer had lost.
